Two things connect me to the natural world. The first is a great curiosity about nature and the second is the challenge to capture its moods and details in photographs.

Photography, for me, is a confluence of art and science. I often find a new surprise to ponder while looking through the lens. Sometimes I find humor, such as these two toads that appear to be having a conversation although she isn't buying whatever he is saying. Sometimes it's simply looking into the eyes of a bison and feeling the sad burden of their history.

Nature photography has transported me to the tiny worlds of the backyard to majestic landscapes. Join me on that journey....
