There is always something mysterious about the moment right after the sun sets. Maybe it is our unease about the darkness, but I believe it is one of the day's most beautiful times. Fingers of shadows reach out and stretch across the landscape. The night-time troop of insects and wildlife emerge from hiding while the daytime wildlife is still trying to catch one last meal--a rich ecotone across both space and time. The richness isn't lost on us, if we stop and watch and listen.
